Planet Budapest in Numbers
The Planet was preceded by three World Water Summits initiated by President János Áder. In 2013, 2016 and 2019, Budapest became a centre for international discussion on water-related issues.
In 2021, we reached a new level. From water, we opened up to a broader sustainability agenda: the first Planet Budapest debuted as the largest thematic trade fair in Central Europe. Participating companies conducted 3537 business meetings during the Expo.
Planet Budapest 2023
In 2023, the visibility and prestige of the event increased further. 162 companies were represented by 140 stands. In addition to doing business, the general public was even more receptive than previously, with interest from a wide range of age groups.

Blue Planet Foundation
The Foundation was established by a will to take action and a recognition that there have been discourses on the dangers of climate change for decades, but very little was actually done. For the past twenty-five years, the prognosis has been increasingly alarming, but we still haven’t found a solution to the dilemma that while during the past century the population of the Earth more than tripled, our energy consumption increased tenfold.
Business development
Since the founding of the Blue Planet Foundation, our stated goal and cornerstone of our ongoing work has been to support initiatives that highlight the magnificence of our natural resources while also drawing attention to their ongoing destruction.
Education
In shaping a sustainable future, responsible, mindful, and ethical upbringing and education are indispensable. Therefore, in our work, we place a significant emphasis on educating children and students, fostering a sustainable mindset, and promoting awareness of the singular direction towards achieving a livable environment.
